It could be that we are tired out from all the summer fun.
Whatever our problem is we have cozy pillows on the brain.

This favorite of ours is a sweet and simple version of our value tree with each of the
Good Works values spotlighted in its own little circle.  This easy to put together is a great project for any Young Woman, or anyone for that matter, as a reminder of the values we all hold dear.
Our friend Jessica Taylor came up with this pillow for her home and she

I am inundated by piles of papers that my children bring home.  Doctor check ups, drawings, awards, notes from me and to me, it is an endless flow in.  Regular stuff, but I am unable to part with hardly any of it. As a Valentines Day gift we went through all the piles and organized it into files and put them each into their own filebox.  We taped a photo with the kids names on each of their file boxes.  

 Because we were going to be away for our little visit to Hawaii, we hid the boxes and set up a little treasure hunt for them to find them.....

Sorry sorry we went dark for so long!  I took off for 11 glorious days in Maui with my IPad in hand ready to blog away as sat in the much needed sun, watched the whales breech and ate banana macadamia nut pancakes.  Best plan I've ever had!

HOWEVER, my IPad will only work with blogger in HTML.  Seriously, I don't even know what HTML means let alone know how to blog in it??

So I am home and I will be trying to catch up...  Since none of my clothes fit me now (one or two too many banana mac pancakes) I cant leave the house anyway.

For this gift idea pictured above, I used a pillow box from my digital paper collections, called WHOLE LOTTA LOVE.  After purchasing this kit, print out the file "drutter-bgraffiti-wll-print+cut-pillow wrap.jpg". Cut around the edges.  Using a bone folder, crease on the dotted lines.

The divine nature charm is the perfect gift to remind a daughter, a friend, or a mother that they are loved most importantly by their Father in Heaven.

One of favorite things about wearing this necklace is that I get TONS of compliments. It also reminds me daily that I am a daughter of God. There are tons of choices when it comes to wearing jewelry, but whenever I wear this necklace it reminds of who I really am. I have given this necklace as a gift to my dearest friends who are strong believers in Christ. It makes me so happy whenever I see them wearing it.

I like the lace but I think I could go crazy with decoupaged wallpaper, photos, or maybe even a mirror! How fun would it be to do with your daughters or friends?

I took some pictures of me, my 5 sisters, and our mom wearing your most amazing value necklaces.  After having been diagnosed with breast cancer in August my sisters and mother have been my strongest supporters in every way and in every need.  I gave each one of them your necklace for Christmas as a thank you for all the love and service they have shared.  To me, they embody every value represented in the value necklace.  We all LOVE them!

Is it cold where you are?  

Snowing Possibly?  

Well, here in Salt Lake we have been socked in by a monster fog and I have to tell you its starting to get me a little down.  May be even a lot down?!?!?  The Today Show said I have SAD, seasonal affective disorder- basically I need a little sun shine!!  So I looked through my summer photos to brighten my day and found this little gem :)!

This is me and my sweetest daughter Devin (the 10 year old with the camera cut her off -bummer).  We are of course wearing our Tree necklaces but just have a look in the background...

So here is our first photo, actually its a video link.   Jason Slatter was interviewed for the site Mormon.org to explain a little about his life and his faith.  He is an international tax attorney (zzzzz) and owns a School Of Rock in Boise Idaho (thats more like it) and has a crazy, fun family.

I have to admit, I am so proud.  She is my adorable cousin Sara Slatter and her equally charming husband Jason.  These two are the most fun, most real and most hilarious people I know. We were lucky enough to watch them film part of this in the Wasatch Mountains.

I posted this because I love them dearly, and they do totally ROCK!  But more importantly because Sara, who was just made Young Women's President, is wearing her Young Woman Value necklace! After you see it you will want to be related to them too!

In the four short months that our site has been live, we have been so busy shipping, reordering and designing new products.  We were so busy, we clearly forgot to blog.  We have shipped to nearly every state in the country, and many areas of Canada!   But the sad thing is Deena and I don't get to see who is wearing our tree necklace and the experiences they are having because of it.  So we are dying to hear from you.

Thanksgiving


 Up early this morning to switch yummy foods in and out of the ovens.  I was just thinking about gratitude and was struck by the idea that SEEK GOOD WORKS is only 5 weeks old and in that time we have spread our good works all over the country and even internationally.  Our favorite part has been hearing from you about how The Value Tree effects you. As You Wish....


 Deena and I are tickled pink that you all are loving our value tree.  We have received great feedback and ideas.  We are in such a great mood over our new site, that we are doing whatever you want!!!
